Internet Art Collective

Zap is short for Zapped Artificial Picture. A collage made of internet images based on words. 

The ZapMachine is open source. You can find the source files and some technical information (in Dutch) at the project page on the Retort ++ website. 

Projects that we have done so far using the ZapMachine:

• ZapMachine - Who gives you the Right?  The Dropstuff pavilion at the Venice Biénnale 2009.

• A Zap for SNS Reaal customer service Groningen (2009) 

• Two 4x4 m walls and and a running version of the ZapMachine at the Retort ++ exhibition (2007, NP3 Groningen)
